Job Description:

Wrapex is looking for a Corporate Accountant to assist in managing the entire accounting function including year end completion, and payroll functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full cycle accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Complete and maintain financial records, including payroll, A/P, A/R, inventory tracking, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare year-end working papers and collaborate with external accountants to finalize financial statements and tax filings.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls and streamlined processes to:
    • Improve monthly close and reporting cycles
    • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
    • Manage cash flows and operating line of credit
  • Perform analytical reviews of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow) from both operational and strategic perspectives.
  • Prepare and file monthly compliance for financial institutions.
  • Develop and maintain short-and long-term financial forecasts, budgets, business plans, and cash flow projections.

Project Accounting Support

  • Assist the Project Manager with project-related financial tasks, including:
    • Cost Control: Monitor project expenses and ensure cost efficiency.
    • Billing: Manage progress billings, time and material billings, and revenue recognition.
    • Change Orders: Track financial impact of scope changes and update project budgets accordingly.
    • Reporting: Generate project financial reports and ensure alignment with accounting standards.
    • Cash Flow: Forecast and manage project-related cash flow needs.
    • Collaboration: Partner with project teams to support decision-making and financial planning

Additional Duties:

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned, in support of the company's financial and operational goals.

Required Education, Skills and Experience

  • Accounting designation (CPA or equivalent) and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Hands-on experience with Maestro accounting software is highly preferred.
  • Industry experience in Oil and Gas and Construction, including inter-company transactions is an asset.
