About the Role:

e-Storage is looking for a contract Quality Engineer to support our Skyview project site, executing and monitoring all project quality work. The Project Quality Engineer is responsible for executing the Project’s Site-Specific Quality Plan (SSQP), tracking root cause analysis (RCA) of any quality issues, and communicating solutions developed and lessons learned. This individual serves as a point of contact for coordination with owner representatives, EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, O&M service providers, and e-Storage team members. A strong dedication to achieving quality objectives, extensive experience in project quality execution, knowledge of the manufacturing, function, and O&M of inverters, transformers, or lithium-ion batteries, plus strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are highly valued. The ideal candidate can operate effectively under pressure and tight timelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the project Site-Specific Quality Plan (SSQP) and Inspection & Test Plan (ITP), ensuring alignment with client and contract requirements
  • Lead quality assurance activities across all project phases (planning through execution and closeout)
  • Manage non-conformances end-to-end, including NCR creation/review, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective/preventive actions
  • Plan and run quality audits and compliance checks for internal teams, contractors, and suppliers
  • Track quality issues and observations, document resolutions, and maintain clear reporting and records
  • Partner with Engineering, Project Execution, and O&M to resolve equipment issues and prevent performance/quality risks
  • Support Commercial, Procurement, and Legal on quality-related inputs as needed
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Project Quality Management System (PQMS), aligned to ISO standards
  • Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and applying them to future projects
  • Champion a “do it right the first time” quality culture focused on safety, accountability, and learning

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Educational background in Quality, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • At least 5 years' of quality experience, preferably in the renewable energy or automotive industry
  • Capable of conducting RCA and tracking its progress to completion and driving suppliers for temporary containment and permanent corrective actions
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, function and O&M of inverters, transformers, or lithium-ion battery products
  • Strong at developing/maintaining fruitful relationships and working effectively with global cross functional cross-cultural colleagues, customers, suppliers, and contractors on quality matters
  • Proven ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and execute in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a strong ownership mentality

About Canadian Solar EMEA GmbH in Munich

In 2009, Canadian Solar EMEA GmbH was founded and comprises currently of more than 50 employees from 18 different nations. Highly skilled experts represent our team and we are confident to serve our customers. We are a sales organization and can support our sales team from the Munich office within the fields of technical, legal, accounting, marketing, logistics and order fulfillment matters.

Within the EMEA region, we are distinguishing between three different business lines: modules sales, digital solutions and energy business . The first two teams lead from the Munich office, are responsible for the modules sales and digital solutions are finally reporting to CCO Yan Zhuang, responsible for the global sales within Canadian Solar.
