About the role

Job Description TIME ANALYST Swartz Bay

The opportunity Join us as a Time Analyst where you can put your keen data and research skills to work auditing time collection data while ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee pay and financial coding of employee labour.

The Role Reporting to the Manager, Scheduling Services, you will perform the following duties:

  • Monitor all timesheets received and ensure escalation procedures for those which are not delinquent or not properly completed
  • Enter time collection data and identify, assess and correct discrepancies
  • Research anomalies regarding confidential employee pay and respond to enquiries in a timely manner
  • Determine, validate and authorize employee pay out requests
  • Monitor paid time off (eg. vacation/CTO/Personal Leave/Union Leave) usage and report any anomalies to the Manager, Employee Relations
  • Maintain documents and systems for resource planning, layoff records, leave records
  • Collect and audit various confidential documents to determine accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures (eg. Timesheets, leave documentation, pay statements);
  • Monitor Attendance Line daily, track employee attendance and ensure Leave forms are completed and received in a timely manner
  • Calculate pre-retirement leaves
  • Advise, train and instruct employees on time collection process
  • Record, track and monitor employee expense claims and ensure accuracy
  • Maintains superior customer service skills and positive relationships in communication with employees and in resolving problems and issues
  • Other related duties/projects as may be assigned by the Manager

What You Bring To The Team Education and Experience

  • Completion of post-secondary education or equivalent experience
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in an administrative capacity, preferably with a background in accounting, human resources or payroll in a complex, unionized environment
  • Experience with staff scheduling systems would be an asset
  • Proficient in the use of financial performance and database management systems

Job Details

  • Hours of operation: Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.
