Con-Tech General Contractors, is looking to add an energetic Heavy Equipment Operator to our growing company. This candidate will be a part of an effective construction team that successfully completes projects according to approved plans and specifications while maintaining high quality, effective operation of various pieces of equipment while maintaining a healthy and safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment safely and efficiently according to relevant legislation, policies, procedures and work plans
• Performs daily safety and maintenance checks
• Cleans heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required
• Advises Superintendent or maintenance department of any requirements for maintenance or repair
• Participates in routine fueling and maintenance
• Verifying elevations and grades to ensure proper installation if utilities;
• Heavy Equipment operation must include Excavator and Dozer

Qualifications

• 5+ years? experience.
• Qualifications and Requirements
• Minimum 2 years of experience in water and sewer construction an asset.
• Must be able to interpret grade stakes, clear, strip, excavate, backfill, ditch, and stockpile
• Able to cut and spread material
• Able to grade to final grade and finish slopes
• Able to perform surface and drainage maintenance
• Fusing Certification an asset
• Experience as a lead hand of water and sewer crew.
• Effective verbal and listening communication skills
• Must be a team player
• a valid 5G/ 1A driver?s license an asset
• Ground Disturbance II an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
