Overview:
Use your strong positive work ethic and passion for safety to operate and maintain the distribution terminal including receipt, storage, handling, and loading of refined products via rail, marine, pipeline, and truck.
Minimum Requirements:
- Four years of relative experience, preferably in operations and/or maintenance
- A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific qualification.
Responsibilities:
- Show your dedication and support the terminal operation to improve our safety culture and overall safety performance
- Manage fuel material by receiving product into tanks via pipeline and marine vessels, transferring product from tank to tank, and draining and preparing equipment for maintenance
- Hook up and offload railcars and accurately complete documentation as required
- Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment including tank roof inspections, boiler monitoring and tank level verification
- Conduct sampling and testing as per the schedule or when required due to quality issues
- Maintain competencies by reading and understanding new procedures or relevant changes to the manuals and documentation, and ensure regulatory training and certifications are up to date
Location and other Key details:
- Salary/Hourly Rate: $53.56 with annual increases
- You will work out of our Oakville office, located at 3275 Rebecca Street
- The shift schedule is four days on/four days off, four nights on/four nights off rotation; working on 12-hour shifts
- This position is safety sensitive
- This is a unionized position with UNIFOR Local 593
- You will be required to perform all essential physical aspects and responsibilities of the role with the mechanical aptitude to capably handle the operation of terminal equipment and maintenance in an all-weather outdoor environment while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
