ERTH (Holdings) Inc., a subsidiary of ERTH Corporation is currently welcoming applicants to the position ofBusiness Solutions Analyst. This position will work closely with internal teams and external utility clients to support, configure, and optimize Customer Information Systems (CIS), primarily the NorthStar CIS platform, as well as related integrations including File Nexus and customer web portal solutions. This is a remote position; however, monthly in-person attendance is required to our Toronto or Ingersoll work locations. In addition, occasional travel is required to support client implementations, training sessions, or project work. Candidates must be prepared to commute in office for these meetings and travel as required.

Position Summary

This position focuses on analyzing client business processes, troubleshooting system issues, configuring solutions, and delivering training to ensure effective use of ERTH-supported systems. The role requires working knowledge of utility Meter-to-Cash processes, including interactions with the deregulated energy market and electricity retailers. Acting as a front-line client support resource, the Business Solutions Analyst provides analytical expertise and practical guidance to help utilities improve operational efficiency, system functionality, and customer service delivery.

General Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyze utility business workflows including meter reading, billing, account management, and related back-office processes and assist with translating business needs into system configurations and functional requirement.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients through regular communication and collaborative problem solving and act as a primary point of contact for client inquiries and support requests related to CIS (or similar) systems.
  • Assist in troubleshooting system issues, data discrepancies, and operational errors within the CIS (or related) system.
  • Configure and maintain elements of CIS systems including rates, system parameters, security settings, and related configurations.
  • Perform testing and validation of system enhancements, regulatory requirements, configurations, and upgrades.
  • Develop and maintain documentation including design documentation, process flows, user guides, and training materials.
  • Deliver training sessions to clients on CIS functionality, business processes, and system best practices.
  • Support sales and client engagement activities by assisting with demonstrations, documentation, and solution presentations

Required Qualifications

Education

Post Secondary Education in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

Experience

3–5 years of experience in the electrical utility sector or a related industry.

Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of utility back-office operations and Meter-to-Cash processes.
  • Experience with Customer Information Systems (NorthStar CIS, SAP, Hansen, Jomar).
  • Knowledge of utility billing, customer service, meter reading, and related operational workflows.
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational database concepts is considered an asset.
  • Understanding of utility regulatory environments is beneficial.
