Director, Platform Partnerships & Activation
About the role
ROLE OBJECTIVE:
As the Director, Platform Partnerships & Activation for the Media (MED) team, you will own strategic relationships with media activation platforms to maximize the distribution, utilization, and revenue generation of EA audiences. You will serve as the internal expert on EA audiences, including how they are built, packaged, and activated across platforms to drive scale and revenue.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Platform Activation Ownership
- Own and manage strategic relationships with media activation platforms (e.g., global platforms and DSP partners) to drive distribution and monetization of EA audiences.
- Develop a deep understanding of each platform’s capabilities, activation mechanics, and roadmap, including how EA audiences are integrated, surfaced, and utilized.
- Act as the primary liaison with platform product, partnership, and sales teams to expand EA audience usage and revenue opportunities.
- Develop platform-specific strategies to maximize EA audience activation, scale, and revenue across each partner.
- Monitor how EA audiences are positioned and used on each platform, including visibility, packaging, and competitiveness relative to other data providers.
- Identify, onboard, and integrate new activation partners that expand EA audience distribution opportunities.
- Monitor platform performance, audience utilization, and revenue trends, identifying opportunities to optimize scale and yield.
- Develop and execute platform pricing strategies while monitoring competitive offerings and market pricing dynamics.
- Audience Product Ownership
- Develop, package, and merchandise EA audiences, including competitive analysis of audience design, taxonomy, usage, and pricing to ensure strong market positioning and high-volume activation.
- Define and evolve EA audience taxonomy and packaging to support platform activation, advertiser usability, and scalable monetization.
- Standardize, develop, and maintain audience profiles and documentation to support internal teams, partners, and client education.
- Work with internal teams to activate client and marketplace audience segments across activation platforms.
- Track and analyze audience performance, utilization, and demand signals to inform audience development and optimization.
- Provide expertise in audience activation strategies across platforms to ensure effective usage and strong commercial performance.
- Commercialization & Market Enablement
- Develop sales collateral, educational materials, and website assets to effectively communicate EA audience capabilities and activation opportunities.
- Lead agency, platform, publisher, and internal education on EA audiences and activation capabilities.
- Support go-to-market strategies that increase the adoption and scale of EA audiences across activation platforms.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

Education – Post-secondary degree in Business or related field

Experience – Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in marketing analytics, marketing, or programmatic sales/ad ops

Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including global platforms, programmatic infrastructure (DSP/SSP), and audience/data providers, and how media inventory and data are transacted across programmatic and direct channels.

Strong understanding of audience-based marketing and data-driven advertising, including how audiences are built, packaged, and activated across media platforms.

Working knowledge of EA methodologies, datasets, variables, and audience construction.

Strong analytical and commercial mindset with the ability to evaluate platform capabilities, audience performance, utilization trends, and revenue opportunities.

Ability to translate complex data and audience capabilities into clear commercial value propositions for platforms, agencies, and clients.
