About the role

Advanced studies in 3D modelling/animation for Industry and Entertainment. Studies will include opportunities to learn character modelling, rigging and animation. Applications for motion graphics and visual effects (VFX). Professional 3D portfolio for media and industry will be covered.

Position Requirements

The successful candidate must hold a MA, MFA, MDes or PhD with a focus on Creative Technologies and/or Design, or equivalent as related to the course subject (3D Animation).

The successful candidate must provide:

  • Evidence of expertise in the creation of 2d/3d composition, design, motion media and 3D animation;

  • Evidence of knowledge for teaching Maya is essential;

  • Evidence of experience managing classroom and online technologies;

  • Evidence of experience teaching at the university level is an asset;

  • A sample syllabus that is relevant to the course description and meets the curriculum requirements of the Creative Technologies & Design programs.

  • A CV with a link to a digital portfolio demonstrating expertise in the creation of 3D animation.

Physical Demands Pay Grade Faculty Sessional Salary Range As per URFA Collective Agreement Status Other Work Hours

CTCH/DES 314 is scheduled on Tuesdays from 1800-2045- remote synchronous delivery.
