It will establish a 6-month eligibility list which may be used to fill similar positions.
This job is based in the thriving and diverse city of Whitehorse in the beautiful Yukon.
Who we are
The Yukon's Emergency Medical Services (YEMS) team delivers a wide scope of pre-hospital care. We deliver medical interventions, treatments, and critical care in every corner of the Yukon. Leadership, dedication, and partnership guides our work. We enact these qualities from the moment we receive a call to the time when we transfer a patient at a health care facility.
Your role
Working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, the Yukon EMS Clinical Educator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering continuing medical education to Yukon EMS staff including remedial education in specific areas. The Clinical Educator facilitates scenario-based learning opportunities for staff and volunteers including the design and facilitated delivery of the educational components required for the introduction of new equipment, clinical policies, clinical guidelines (etc.).

Essential qualifications

- Advanced and/or Critical care paramedic registered with a regulatory authority
- Experience facilitating educational instruction;
- Experience facilitating Heart and Stroke adult education sessions is an asset;
- Pediatric Neonatal Critical Care Transport (PNCCT), Infant Transport Team (ITT), Neonatal Intensive Care Unite (NICU), or Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) designation is considered and asset.

If selected for an interview, candidates should have, and may be assessed on, the following:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

- Ability to work with other professionals to exchange work delivery methods
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Wearing a uniform, This position works mainly in a classroom or office setting within the Emergency Response Center or Training Centre, but routinely assists at all capacities on emergency calls, May be exposed to encounters with angry public, or to hazardous chemicals and contaminated persons.
