THE ROLE
Under the direction of the Manager, Compliance and Assurance, the Analyst, Compliance and Assurance administer, implements and/or supports accounting compliance reviews. They ensure the areas of responsibility follow specific procedures and/or rules established within Non-Public Property (NPP) governance and accounting policies, such as procedures prescribed for stocktaking and inventory checks. Through examination and analysis, they develop reports to provide advice and recommendations for corrective action when current practices are not consistent with established policies or fail to provide necessary controls. They participate in the development of programs and instructions to perform compliance reviews. They engage with various stakeholders and provide guidance and training required to perform compliance audit tasks.
Qualifications Needed
Education, Certifications and Licenses
College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field AND several years of experience in auditing, or a related field
Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, an asset
Experience
In financial analysis
In applying policies, procedures, and/or relevant legislation
In accounting systems and procedures
Competencies, Skills And Abilities
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
Language Requirements
English or French Essential, Bilingual an asset
Reading: Functional
Writing: Functional
Oral: Advanced

Other Information
For applicants in the Ottawa region:
This is a hybrid position with an assigned work location allowing the employee to work partly from a corporate office and partly from a home office in accordance with the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy, and with approval from the direct manager.
For applicants outside of the Ottawa region:
This is a remote position. The employee must reside and work from anywhere within Canada. In accordance with the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy, by presenting your candidacy for this role, you confirm that you meet this criteria.
There may be a requirement to travel once or twice a year.
