About the role
We're looking for a motivated and experienced Line Cook to join our Capilano Suspension Bridge Park team at The Cliff House Restaurant. Our Line Cooks are responsible for the execution of high-quality dishes during regular service. This position is primarily focused on line cooking, ensuring consistency, speed, and precision in a fast-paced, guest-driven environment. They also support our other venues in the park to help deliver delicious offerings to our guests.

What You'll Do
Prepare menu items as per recipes Prepare large amounts of menu items using effective bulk prepping techniques Follows presentation specifications as set by the Food & Beverage Manager and Sous Chef Ensure the quality of food is outstanding every time and items are produced quickly and efficiently with pride and attention to detail Perform all opening and closing assignments as instructed Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in cooler, and all storage areas Participate in daily shipping, receiving, distribution, inventory and control over kitchen supplies Ensure only the highest quality products are served What You’ll Get Complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate and soda while on shift, when using your reusable cup 30% discount off regular-priced merchandise at The Trading Post Gift Store 30% discount at Stanley's Bar & Grill and Prospect Point Café 30% discount on food & beverage items in The Cliff House Restaurant, Loggers' Grill, Beary Waffles, and The Cabin (does not apply to alcohol) Guest passes for friends & family Referral bonuses Staff Transit Subsidy (30% for part-time members, 50% for full-time members) Employment & Family Assistance Program, offering five free online counselling sessions per topic for our staff Job Qualifications 2+ years of experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment Strong understanding of line cook responsibilities, kitchen flow, and ticket management Food Safe Level 1 certification or ability to obtain upon hiring Excellent knife skills and working knowledge of culinary techniques Ability to remain calm and organized under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Willingness to learn, take direction, and support the broader team Considerations The ideal candidate must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs. Need to be comfortable working in a high-temperature, high-pressure environment during peak service hours.
The wage for this role is $22.44 per hour.

Native Vancouverite Nancy Stibbard purchased Capilano Suspension Bridge Park (CSBP) in 1983 and has spearheaded the attraction’s development and phenomenal increase in attendance over the past twenty years. Nancy’s commitment to exceeding guest expectations and providing experiences people are amazed by is the service promise on which the Capilano Group (CG) is founded. All of the organization’s marketing, administrative and financial activities are conducted from its headquarters at the Suspension Bridge location. CG employs over four hundred people seasonally in addition to the over two hundred year-round positions. Students receive exceptional training and, on average, return for three seasons.
