About the role

Job description:

A Day in the Life of a Business Partner Manager at Esri Canada:

  • Develop and execute partner strategies designed to facilitate the implementation of business relevant solutions.
  • Create and manage revenue pipeline with partners to drive new and recurring revenue opportunities.
  • In collaboration with direct sales and professional services, develop new accounts and expand existing accounts by supporting the sale of software, content and professional services.
  • Advance relationships with existing high value business partners and related sectors.
  • Provide assessments of partner solutions and service offerings, providing feedback on best practices with Esri technology and business models.
  • Evaluate potential partners and represent Esri Canada through tactful administration of public relations and excellence in the execution of presentations, partner business planning sessions, partner assessments, partner reviews, sales meetings, trade shows and follow-up meetings.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the Esri Partner Network program, policies, processes and assigned business partners.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of assigned partner products, services and related information and regularly create awareness with Esri Canada sales personnel of partner capabilities.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of Esri products and services, with ability to describe them in relation to business partner offerings.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration, engaging sales, professional services, and other departments to maximize partner engagement and business outcomes.
  • Establish clear milestones and objectives for partner initiatives, regularly evaluating progress against time, cost, and quality targets. Take full accountability for meeting allocated partnership and revenue objectives, mutually set with management.
  • Willing to challenge partner visions, introducing new ideas to expand their thinking and create new opportunities aligned with their success and Esri Canada’s strategic goals.

General Responsibilities:

  • Participate collaboratively in the company Employee Development Program.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external personnel at all levels representing the company in a professional manner at all times.
  • Actively participate in company, staff or individual one-on-one meetings on an ongoing basis for the purposes of effective teamwork, enhanced communication and progressive co-operation strategies within the company as well as other departments across the company.
  • Continually contribute to the profitability of the company and ongoing business operations by initiating, recommending and implementing continuous improvement strategies and initiatives.
  • Conduct any general duties, specific job projects and responsibilities as assigned or required by the Director or Esri Canada management in a timely and professional manner.

What you bring to the team:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in business administration, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • 7+ years of successful experience selling software solutions.
  • Experience working with channel partners.
  • Sound understanding of solving business problems using GIS and geospatial technology.
  • Experience developing large, complex business relationships with business partners and customers.

Additional Requirements:

  • Bilingual (English and French)

  • Specific industry sector specific experience beneficial, particularly experience in the AEC and Transportation industries.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate with partners and stakeholders.

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

  • Proven track record utilizing customer centric sales methodology.

  • Experience with using Salesforce.com.

  • Sound understanding of GIS, primarily Esri’s ArcGIS suite.

  • Proven experience building strategic relationships to expand organizational impact.

  • Strong understanding of Esri Canada’s business model, customers, and competitors.

  • Skilled in delivering presentations to diver audiences.
