Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a creative, organised, and collaborative Marketing Coordinator to join our Home Office Marketing team. This role plays a key part in supporting and executing corporate and community‑level marketing initiatives that strengthen the V!VA brand and drive engagement, awareness, and growth across our retirement communities.

Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing & Sales, the Marketing Coordinator works closely with Marketing, Sales, Operations, IT, and Community teams to support digital and traditional marketing channels, content creation, campaign execution, and performance tracking.

This role blends creativity with data‑driven execution and requires strong project coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Brand Support

  • Support the development and execution of corporate and community‑level marketing initiatives aligned with leasing, engagement, and occupancy goals.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify audience trends and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment with marketing objectives.
  • Support tracking of marketing budgets and campaign performance.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all digital and print channels in accordance with V!VA brand standards.

Social Media & Digital Campaign Management

  • Execute and support digital marketing campaigns across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and others.
  • Develop, curate, and schedule engaging content aligned with V!VA’s brand and Orange Dot Values.
  • Review content submitted by Communities and recommend content for amplification.
  • Monitor engagement, trends, and sentiment; prepare performance insights and reports.
  • Respond to comments, inquiries, and feedback in a timely, professional, and brand‑aligned manner.

Website & Content Management

  • Update and maintain corporate and community website content, ensuring accuracy and strong user experience.
  • Monitor and optimise SEO performance, including keywords, metadata, headers, and image alt text.
  • Analyse website traffic and user behaviour using Google Analytics and related tools.
  • Ensure AODA compliance and overall website quality standards are met.
  • Align website content with marketing campaigns and brand direction.

Google Business Profile Management

  • Optimise Google Business Profiles to improve local search visibility and accuracy.
  • Monitor and respond to reviews, questions, and engagement.
  • Upload and maintain high‑quality photos and videos.
  • Track performance metrics and implement improvements based on insights.

Design, Branding & Marketing Collateral

  • Design branded templates and marketing materials using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and AI‑based tools.
  • Create graphics for digital, social, print, signage, presentations, and promotions.
  • Support the creation, distribution, and organisation of marketing collateral and promotional materials.

Digital Automation, Education & Internal Support

  • Assist with digital automation tools, CRM, and email marketing platforms.
  • Maintain databases sourced from online forms and marketing campaigns.
  • Support internal education on social media best practices and online reputation management.
  • Promote consistent application of brand standards across digital touchpoints.

Event & Promotional Support

  • Support the planning and execution of promotional and community engagement events.
  • Assist with sourcing marketing and promotional materials.
  • Gather feedback and support post‑event reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing or digital communications.
  • Strong proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, AI tools, social media platforms, CMS tools, SEO, and analytics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong attention to detail and accountability.
  • Experience in retirement living, healthcare, real estate, or hospitality is considered an asset.
  • Google Analytics or social media certifications are assets.

Working Conditions

  • Hybrid schedule: 3 days on‑site at V!VA’s Home Office in North York, 2 days remote.
  • Occasional travel to V!VA Communities across Ontario for meetings, events, and content creation.
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle required.
