About the role
Principal Enterprise Architects – Strategy & Governance (Future Contract Opportunities) Calgary or Greater Toronto Area Hybrid | Senior‑Level | Enterprise Governance and Operating Model Strategy
We’re proactively building a pipeline of senior Enterprise Architecture talent for upcoming strategic governance and operating‑model engagements across large, complex enterprise environments. These future roles will suit Principal‑level architects who excel in enterprise‑wide alignment, governance structure, and multi‑domain architecture strategy.
Focus Areas Leading and contributing to Architecture Review Boards and enterprise governance forums Defining and maintaining architecture standards, principles, guardrails, and compliance frameworks Strengthening EA operating models and capability alignment Developing target‑state architectures across business, data, application, and technology domains Building enterprise roadmaps and facilitating cross‑functional alignment Presenting direction and recommendations to senior leaders (Director, VP, CIO) Influencing across siloed, politically complex environments
Ideal Background Principal or Senior‑level Enterprise Architect Proven enterprise‑level governance experience (not project or IT governance) Depth in capability modelling, baseline‑to‑target architecture, and multi‑domain architecture Skilled facilitator with experience navigating complex stakeholder landscapes Comfortable driving structure, alignment, and enterprise‑wide decisioning
Nice to Have Experience in resource, energy, or industrial sectors Experience in financial services Consulting background Experience designing or improving EA operating models Hybrid onsite delivery experience
