POSITION SUMMARY

Wyse Meter Solutions is seeking a technically strong and analytically driven Data Analyst to support enterprise-scale Meter Data Management (MDM) automation & analytics initiatives. This role is ideal for early-career data and automation professionals and/or high-performing recent graduate (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related quantitative field) with advanced SQL and Python skills who is eager to work with large-scale utility data environments.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and reliability of meter and billing data across systems. This position offers early ownership, meaningful responsibility, and exposure to production-grade data environments with mentorship and defined processes to support growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in enterprise MDM initiatives including data ingestion, validation, transformation, extensive analysis and billing readiness.

  • Participate in data discovery sessions to gather requirements and support translating business logic into technical validation rules with guidance from department leadership

  • Develop Excel-based automation tools using advanced formulas, Power Query, and VBA to streamline data validation, reconciliation, and reporting workflows.

  • Write complex SQL queries to profile, reconcile, and validate large interval datasets (15-minute, hourly, daily reads).

  • Partner with the Lead and/or Manager to develop data quality and reconciliation framework concepts (rules, checks, thresholds, test cases) and assist with execution in SQL.

  • Work with the Lead and/or Manager to identify automation opportunities and assist in developing Python scripts to automate validation workflows, anomaly detection, and reporting.

  • Manage enterprise dashboards and reporting tools integrating SQL, Python, and Excel data sources to support data validation, performance monitoring, and KPI tracking.

  • Perform production data validation post-implementation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Create and maintain data documentation including mappings, data dictionaries, validation test cases, and support UAT activities

  • Collaborate with Operations, Billing, and Client teams to assist in cross-functional data analysis.

  • Other duties relevant will be assigned as required.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data/Software Engineering, or a related field, or 1–2 years of relevant experience in data quality and analytics.

  • Advanced MS Excel proficiency, including Power Query, complex formulas, pivot tables, and automation (VBA/macros).

  • Advanced SQL skills (CTEs, window functions, complex joins, performance optimization).

  • Strong Python proficiency (scripting and automation).

  • Understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes.

  • Experience working with large datasets and performing detailed data analysis.

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with time-series or utility meter data.

  • Exposure to Meter Data Management (MDM) or billing systems.

  • Knowledge of cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Familiarity with data governance or data quality frameworks.

  • Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance SQL development or validation processes.
