Child Care Administration Supervisor - (Full Time)

Salary: $47,829.00/yr - $59,786.00/yr

What qualifications are we looking for?
At YMCA Calgary we strive to ensure our employees are a fit based on their strengths, interests, and future goals. The successful candidate will have the following;
- Minimum of 3-5 years in a senior or supervisory administrative role;
- Experience managing a busy office environment with diverse clientele;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including intermediate computer literacy and use of technology;
- Budget development and management;
- An Alberta Daycare Qualification Certificate is beneficial but not required
- Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C certificated within the last 12 months from an approved AB OHS provider. Asset if certification is issued by one of the following five Canadian organizations: Canadian Red Cross, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Lifesaving Society, St John's Ambulance and/or Canadian Ski Patrol.
- Evidence of a clear Police Information Check including a Vulnerable Sector Search;
- Three professional references required.
What does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?
The Childcare Administration Supervisor is responsible for providing operational leadership for administrative processes within the YMCA Childcare Branch and the YMCA Early Years Integrated Leadership Team (ILT). The position is based at the Quarry Park Child Development Centre and will play a key role in creating a warm, welcoming and efficient administrative experience for families utilizing our childcare programs across the association.
This position is full-time and will work 40 hours per week between the hours of 7am - 6pm, Monday through Friday. Flexibility of the successful applicant’s personal schedule is required to ensure area and needs are met. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
Reporting to the General Manager – Early Years, the Child Care Administration Supervisor will:
- Develop, implement and evaluate administrative practices within the childcare branch which meet operational and regulatory requirements including licensing, childcare subsidy, purchasing, human resource and centre operations;
- Manage registration and account systems for early years programs and services;
- Maintain office and uniform supply inventories;
- Assist, as assigned, with the development and implementation of marketing and communication strategies for YMCA Early Years programs and services;
- Establish and maintain effective communication strategies with both internal and external YMCA Calgary stakeholders. This includes oral and written communication as well as the management of confidential information;
- Provide leadership and oversight for reception operations within the Quarry Park Child Development Centre. This includes supervision, including performance management, for the Early Years Admin Assistant position and area volunteers;
- Take an active role in centre, department and association events and initiatives; including the annual YMCA fundraising campaign;
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe environment utilizing established procedures to meet standards;
- Demonstrate safe practices and act promptly on health and safety risks and concerns. Provide leadership for identified health and safety measures.
