About the Role:
Rentals.ca (http://rentals.ca) is hiring a Social Media Coordinator—a creative, curious, and metric-driven team player ready to help take our brand presence to the next level. You’ll be the day-to-day voice of our brands across social platforms, creating content, building engagement, testing new ideas, and reporting on what’s working (and what’s not). This role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes digital culture and wants to build a portfolio of impact and creativity.

This is a hybrid/remote position, all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, however preferential consideration may be given to individuals who can report to Rentsync’s office 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:
Own Day-to-Day Social Execution• Plan, create, and publish engaging organic content across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X

  • Maintain a consistent brand voice across all platforms
  • Build and manage content calendars, coordinate approvals, and ensure content delivery stays on track

Create Scroll-Stopping Content• Write captions, create visual assets, and shoot/edit short-form videos (e.g., Reels, TikToks, stories)

  • Repurpose content from blog posts, campaigns, and partners into social-first formats
  • Jump on trends in real time, maintaining a level of flexibility when needed

Grow and Engage Our Community• Monitor, reply to, and engage with comments, DMs, and tags

  • Support influencer collaborations and UGC campaigns
  • Help develop strategies to grow audience reach and increase platform engagement

Track & Optimize Performance• Report on weekly and monthly performance using platform insights

  • Suggest data-informed content tweaks, timing changes, and engagement strategies
  • Monitor what our competitors and creators are doing to keep our channels fresh and innovative

Essential Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • 2–4 years of social media, content creation, or digital marketing experience
  • Deep understanding of social platforms, especially TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn
  • Strong writing skills and visual sensibility—comfortable with design tools like Canva or Adobe
  • Basic video editing skills for reels, stories, and UGC
  • Comfortable appearing on camera and speaking in short-form videos
  • Familiarity with scheduling and analytics tools
  • Organized, proactive, and obsessed with improving performance
  • Experience in community building, influencer coordination, or email/social integrations
  • Understanding of the Canadian rental or real estate space is an asset but not a requirement
