About Reach

At Reach, we believe that the global ecommerce space is ripe for disruption. Our strategic partnerships with currency exchange providers allow us to offer direct and guaranteed, real-time currency exchange rates. We want to help retailers grow; we understand global consumers and how changes in their shopping experience affect your business. At Reach, we are constantly improving to support ever-changing local markets and help serve shoppers better.

Role Overview:

We’re looking for a Reconciliation Data Analyst to join our Operational Integrity team. This is a hands-on, operational role focused on executing daily reconciliations, resolving transactional discrepancies across systems, and implementing new or improving existing processes. You will work with internal tools to ensure that transactions across internal and external systems reconcile correctly.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of analytical skills, technical knowledge, and accounting/financial awareness. You’ll dive into large, detailed transaction sets, identify mismatches, and trace them across multiple systems. You’ll also support improvements in reconciliation processes, documentation, and monitoring, strengthening trust in Reach’s data quality and financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use internal reconciliation tools to perform daily and month-end reconciliations between internal and external systems.
  • Investigate mismatches and anomalies, tracing transactions through multiple data sources and system integrations.
  • Perform deep-dive data analysis into large-scale, detailed financial transactions.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of data used in financial reconciliations, settlements, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Engineering teams to resolve reconciliation issues.
  • Monitor data flows and system integrity to ensure money movement is correctly captured across all systems.
  • Assist in the development of documentation, processes, and playbooks to standardize reconciliation workflows.
  • Translate technical issues into business-friendly explanations for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Recommend and help implement preventative and corrective measures to strengthen reconciliation processes.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a related technical/analytical field (Computer Science, Data Statistics, Mathematics)
  • Experience in financial reconciliations (journal entries, settlements, payment flows, or tax filing).
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting
  • Continuous improvement mindset taking initiative to research and adapt new technologies and methodologies
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and ability to trace issues across complex systems
  • Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
  • Strong sense of ownership
  • Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly

Additional Assets:

  • SQL knowledge and practical experience working with relational databases.
  • Experience with Simetrik or similar reconciliation tools.
  • Familiarity with VAT and tax settlement processes.
  • Experience with technical writing such that complex data considerations can be expressed clearly in writing or data modeling and data diagrams (ERD, dataflow, definitions)
  • Practical experience with Snowflake on AWS
  • Work experience in a technology startup or fintech, ecommerce, or payments environment
  • Experience working with the Atlassian suite of tools like JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience with reporting tools like Power BI and Sigma

Our Core Values:

At Reach we believe that high performing teams all have common values and synergies that enable them to work well together.  If you share some of these values then you will excel in your role on the Operational Integrity team. Some of our Core Values are:

  • We value solving problems and building products by focusing on outcomes
  • We value making decisions while considering input from multiple sources
  • We value taking action over getting stuck in planning
  • We value taking chances and failing fast
  • We value teamwork over individual accomplishments
  • We value optimizing time to value and achieving outcomes, not checking boxes
  • We value work/life balance and a mindset of “it’s a marathon, not a sprint”
  • We value using the right technology to solve the right problems
