Job#: 3024432 Job Description: End to End Tech Lead (Sr. BSA Lead) Apex Systems, a leading consulting and technology services firm, is supporting a Top 5 Canadian bank in hiring an End‑to‑End Tech Lead for their Business Banking and NARP portfolios. This role functions as a senior technical BSA / systems integration lead, responsible for driving end‑to‑end design, cross‑platform coordination, and technical execution across as many as 5 to 50+ application teams. The Tech Lead partners closely with Solution Architects, Test Leads, developers, business analysts, and multiple technology groups to create technical designs, manage system integration, support triage, oversee testing flows (API, batch, SIT, E2E), and ensure high‑quality delivery across both Agile and Waterfall teams. This is a coordination‑heavy, technically credible, non‑coding role ideal for someone with strong systems knowledge, development understanding, integration experience, and leadership across complex, multi‑system banking environments.

The tech lead will work with technology project managers, developers, business analysts, solution architects, engineering/architecture teams, testing teams, vendors, business teams and delivery teams from various groups within and outside the bank. The position requires a self-starter with strong development, integration, critical thinking, and leadership skills with proven experience delivering complex technology projects.
The tech lead is responsible for delivery of quality software solutions which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, of applications to ensure alignment with IT strategies and adherence to relevant enterprise standards.
Accountabilities:
- Responsible of end-to-end system design and integration for Canadian P&BB Technology
- Leads large initiatives with multichannel, multiplatform, multivendor platforms
- Liaises with third party vendors, when appropriate, to ensure that the integration of third-party products and existing applications and systems is practical and feasible given the underlining technologies
- Supports Tech PM for planning tech deliverables and highlighting dependencies
- Responsible for coordinating with the assigned BAs to raise any cross-project impacts during the requirements phase
- Coordinates development across all impacted platforms and applications, including development related to any Change Requests
- In conjunction with the Test lead, assists during (functional, UAT, performance, penetration) triage to resolve defects and findings
- Participates in application releases (DEV, QA, PERF, and PROD) for their respective applications and provide technical guidance
- Responsible for the creation and oversight of project documentations and other artifacts related for technical designs
- Leads process and application improvement opportunities to improve the reliability and extensibility of the application and to improve the overall Service Level Agreement (SLA)
- Provides coaching and guidance to team members and/or may act as a team/project lead to foster professional development
Qualifications Knowledge:
- Possesses a university degree/college diploma in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering)
- 7+ years software development experience
- 3+ years experience in leading technology teams with varied technology platforms
- Demonstrates expert knowledge of design and analysis methodology and application development processes
- Exhibits expert understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) (including emerging trends in DevOps and Agile), Quality Assurance requirements, and software development control and release procedures with a strong focus on automation
- Demonstrates expert understanding of relevant and emerging technologies and industry directions
Skills:
- Possesses advanced critical thinking and analytical skills for complex problem solving. Can manage multiple priorities/multi-task
- Demonstrates solid technical leadership, organization, and relationship management skills
- Possesses several years of proven success as a technical team leader
- Ability to adapt and quickly develop in-depth technical understanding of new/different applications and technology platforms
- Experience in working effectively with different technology and business teams
- Exhibits solid communication skills, both written and verbal
- Possesses expert understanding of relevant technologies, including but not limited to channel, web services (SOAP and REST), SQL, batch file processing
- Expert knowledge in system integrations and data mapping
- Demonstrates solid leadership skills and can work independently
- Solid understanding of security frameworks and protocols, such as PKI, mutual SSL, OAuth...etc
- Expert working experience of at least 1 programming language
