Front of House Supervisor
Tofino, BC Full-time $21.00-$23.00/hour
ROAR | FOH Supervisor Who Are We? ROAR is Tofino’s favorite live fire restaurant and bar that makes every meal feel as relaxing and fun as a roaring beach fire. Right now, we are turning up the heat on our hunt for a Front of House Supervisor (Full Time/Permanent). Located in the swanky Hotel Zed, ROAR is the first restaurant by Accent Inns Inc! We’re a family-owned, BC-based hospitality company that LEADS WITH LOVE and our number one metric as a company is the happiness of our staff, who we call our Fam-Jam ’cause we are like family.

What You’ll Do As the FOH Supervisor at ROAR you’ll often be the leader on duty responsible for overseeing the floor, which includes greeting and seating guests, serving guests, assuring compliance with all food and beverage safety rules, and providing hands on support for the FOH team. Responsibilities also include:
- Train and mentor new team members, fostering a culture of learning, growth, and continuous improvement.
- Assist in labour control, approving shift hours and reporting irregularities
- Process server cash out paperwork, ensuring accurate and prompt tip out distribution
- Lead and supervise restaurant staff during assigned shifts, including servers, bartenders, and support staff.
- Ensure seamless operations during peak hours by effectively managing workflow, table rotations, and guest reservations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the restaurant, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Handle transactions and reconcile sales reports accurately.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement strategies for improving service quality, increasing efficiency, and maximizing profitability.
- Act as a liaison between restaurant staff and management, effectively communicating feedback, suggestions, and concerns.
- Assist in inventory management, ordering restaurant supplies, participating in inventory counts and invoice processing
Who You Are Our ideal candidate must be proficient in serving a large section with little to no supervision, accompanied by great guest service, and excellent leadership, communication and administrative skills.
Job Requirements
- Flexible availability – mix of AM/PM shifts
- At least 2-3 years’ experience working in a fast-paced service environment
- Proven experience as a Shift Leader or relevant supervisory/leadership role
- Strong administrative skills are a huge asset
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving aptitude
- Ability to multi-task and take on multiple jobs/duties at the same time
- A strong sense of urgency and excellent time-management skills
- Commitment to upholding our service culture and standards
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
- Must meet physical requirements (standing/walking for full shift)
- Serving It Right Certificate is required
