Position Details Echo NDE is currently seeking a CGSB RTII NDT Technician to support our client operations. This is an embedded rotational position operating on a 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off schedule, with fly-in/fly-out travel from Edmonton or Calgary. Technicians will be embedded with the client while also having the opportunity to support additional project work outside of their scheduled rotation.
Responsibilities
- Perform Radiographic Testing (RT) inspections in accordance with applicable codes, procedures, and safety standards.
- Set up and operate radiography equipment, including exposure devices, sources, and imaging systems.
- Interpret and evaluate radiographs to identify weld discontinuities and material defects.
- Ensure strict adherence to radiation safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Process, review, and document radiographic results, ensuring accurate reporting and traceability.
- Coordinate with technicians, inspectors, and operations teams to maintain efficient inspection workflows.
- Maintain equipment, film/digital imaging systems, and radiation safety documentation within the facility.
- Support quality control and compliance requirements for facility-based inspection work.
Requirements
- CGSB RTII Level 2 Certification
- Preference will be given to applicants with additional MTII certification
- Ability to work a rotation at site
- Strong work ethics
- Ability to maintain positive working relations with clients
- Exceptional safety and quality awareness
- Ability to solve problems and manage time effectively
- Self-motivated and capable of working at a high technical and performance level
- Valid driver's license
