About the role
A boutique litigation firm based in downtown Toronto , with a strong focus on Insurance Defence , is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its growing and collaborative legal team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated lawyer who is looking to further develop their litigation practice in a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage litigation files with a focus on tort and accident benefits matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence
- Conduct legal research and prepare written submissions
- Attend discoveries, mediations, and court appearances
- Communicate with clients, insurers, and opposing counsel
- Work collaboratively with partners and support staff to move files forward
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of litigation experience
- Strong experience in tort and accident benefits
- Excellent research, drafting, and advocacy skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Ability to manage files independently while working in a team environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Licensed to practice law in Ontario and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
