Résumé du poste: Ce poste sera principalement responsable de fournir des conseils juridiques réglementaires et commerciaux en sciences de la vie à la société affiliée canadienne. Le rôle sera axé sur l'évaluation, la gestion et l'explication des risques juridiques, la conformité à toutes les lois et tous les règlements applicables, la formation sur les questions juridiques pertinentes et la réponse aux besoins juridiques de l'organisation canadienne. Le poste sera basé à Montréal, au Québec, et relèvera du vice-président et chef du contentieux adjoint, Intercon Markets.

Responsabilités du rôle:

  • Fournir un soutien juridique dans l'ensemble des opérations commerciales, y compris les fonctions commerciales, de R&D, médicales et de soutien, en assurant la conformité aux lois et en gérant les risques juridiques.
  • Agir à titre de représentant juridique au sein de certains comités dirigés par le directeur général du Canada et d'autres membres de l'équipe de direction dans le cadre du modèle de gouvernance des affiliés.
  • Maintenir l'intégrité de l'entreprise, en offrant de l'éducation et de la formation juridiques, en soutenant les audits et les enquêtes internes et en collaborant avec la conformité et l'équipe de direction pour promouvoir une culture d'entreprise transparente et inclusive.
  • Gérer le soutien juridique externe et prioriser la charge de travail en fonction des besoins de l'entreprise.

Qualification:

  • Diplôme en droit et qualification pour pratiquer le droit au Canada d'une université accréditée.
  • Une moyenne de 10 ans d'expérience professionnelle qualifiée, de préférence dans les sciences de la vie/le droit pharmaceutique.
  • Expérience de travail au sein de multinationales pharmaceutiques de préférence.
  • Excellente communication orale et écrite en anglais et en français.

  • Démontrer sa capacité à communiquer des questions complexes clairement, verbalement et par écrit, en anglais et en français, en anticipant le niveau de détail attendu et en se préparant à d'éventuelles questions de suivi.

Job Summary: This position will be primarily responsible for providing life sciences regulatory and commercial legal advice to the Canadian affiliate. The role will focus on assessing, managing and explaining legal risk, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, providing education on relevant legal matters, and responding to the legal needs of Canada organization. The position will be based in Montreal, Quebec, and reports to the VP and Assistant General Counsel, Intercon Markets.

Role responsibilities:

  • Provide legal support across business operations including commercial, R&D, medical, and supporting functions, ensuring compliance with laws and managing legal risks.
  • Act as the Legal representative on, and proactively participate in, certain Committees led by the Canada General Manager and other members of the leadership team as part of the affiliate governance model.
  • Uphold company integrity, delivering legal education and training, supporting audits and internal investigations and collaborating with Compliance and the leadership team to promote a transparent and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Manage external legal support and prioritize workload according to business needs.

Qualification:

  • Law degree and qualification to practice law in Canada from an accredited University.
  • An average of 10 years of professional qualified experience, preferably in life-science/pharmaceutical law.
  • Working experience with multinational pharmaceutical companies preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English and French.

  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills, with attention to detail and impact on broader organization. Ability to recognize and appropriately escalate to manager and/or subject matter experts on higher risk issues.
