**Role:**TEF Assistant Coordinator

**Reports to:**National Test Center Manager, Canada

**Location:**Toronto, ON

Description:

ILSC is looking for a TEF Assistant Coordinator for its Toronto test center. The TEF, TEFaQ and TEF Canada Tests are accepted as proof of proficiency in French for study, work and immigration. This is an important service offered by ILSC to international students and communities around its centers.

The TEF Assistant Coordinator is responsible for the administration of the tests and the coordination of staff for TEF, as well as additional duties related to the organization of English tests, such as IELTS and CELPIP. This is a full-time position that requires occasional weekend work.

Job Duties:

  • Recruit, hire, onboard, train and develop supervisors and examiners

  • Support ILSC's core values, including contributing to positive team spirit among staff, and maintaining clear and effective communications within the team

  • Liaise with the test partner: CCIP Paris

  • Process payments and registrations and send confirmation communications to applicants

  • Provide fast, friendly and professional customer service to candidates

  • Maintain strict security protocols when handling test day hardware and materials

  • Plan test day resources, including rooms, computers, and staff

  • Supervise, proctor, monitor and assist with all aspects of test days

  • Provide feedback to staff on their performance

  • Follow all CCIP and British Council record-keeping and quality control specifications

  • Use a variety of channels, including social media, to market ILSC's TEF test and meet monthly goals

  • Manage revenues and expenses and prepare financial reports

  • Assist with preparation and management of materials, resources, reports and customer service for English Tests as needed

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes:

  • Communication and influence skills: Demonstrate good listening, writing and speaking skills, clearly articulate logical arguments, and adapt language and form of communication to meet the needs of different people/audiences.

  • Methodical planning and organizing skills: able to plan one's own work over short periods of time for routine or familiar tasks and processes

  • Systematic analytics and problem solver: Breaks down problems into a to-do list and decides on appropriate actions

  • Technologic competence: acts as an intermediate user of information systems, digital and office automation. Able to use desktop software and systems to get the job done and manage documents or processes. Able to perform basic troubleshooting on computer hardware and software.

  • Customer service aptitude: treat candidates and staff in a pleasant and professional manner

  • Strong Computer skills

Education and Experience Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience

  • Bilingual French and English (high intermediate level of both languages required)

  • 1 year of experience as a test administrator or test day staff is preferable

  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred

Compensation and Benefits:

$23.00 per hour
