Make your mark while you grow your career! Canadian Natural boasts one of the largest in-house Information Systems (IS) departments in Calgary. Supporting over 10,000 staff globally in our corporate, field and overseas offices, the department is engaged in a variety of N-tier application and IS projects. As the Developer Analyst, you will be responsible for the analysis, design and building of systems through the development of application logic, user interfaces, data interfaces, data conversion scripts and reports. You will work under the guidance and direction of System Analysts and Business Systems Analysts to support the portfolio of applications for Conventional applications team.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Analyze, design and develop applications, interfaces, data scripts
  • Manage multiple tasks at the same time with high levels of productivity and effectiveness
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle complex work and to provide guidance to Developers
  • Develop and maintain functional/technical specifications and documentation

What You Bring to the Role:

  • 3-10 years of previous experience in a full stack Developer or Developer Analyst role
  • Demonstrated proficiency with analysis, design and development of modern single page applications/progressive web applications and object-oriented programming, preferably using C#
  • Proficiency with REST APIs/web APIs
  • Experience in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Entity Framework Core or other ORM frameworks, Microsoft Blazor or other similar single page web application development frameworks
  • Experience with ASP.NET core, ASP.NET, Razor, MVC, Visual Studio, git, Azure DevOps, Remedy, SQL and PL/SQL with Oracle back-end
  • Familiarity with design patterns like unit of work and repository pattern, as well as third party component libraries like Infragistics, Syncfusion, etc.
