Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the HR Business Partner plays a strategic and engaging role while remaining a key player in day-to-day operations. Combining long-term vision with operational expertise, they exert a positive influence on managers and employees by supporting decision-making, talent development, and team engagement. This position requires the ability to anticipate HR challenges, propose innovative solutions, and ensure effective operational management in order to align organizational strategies with operational realities.
Working closely with their client groups, the HR Business Partner supports and guides the entire employee life cycle, contributing to a high-performing, engaging work environment that reflects the company’s values.
Responsibilities
- Act as a frontline HR partner to managers on all matters related to human resources management: disciplinary action, performance, total compensation, talent management, and other HR processes.
- Develop, influence, and support managers by effectively coaching them to become strong drivers of engagement and performance.
- Serve as a resource person for all matters related to talent development and retention.
- Ensure the implementation and monitoring of HR programs, oversee their success, and guarantee alignment with operational realities.
- Participate in various projects in collaboration with the HR team using a project management approach.
- Stay up to date on HR trends and best practices, contributing to the adoption of innovative solutions aligned with company strategy.
- Act as an ambassador of company values and actively contribute to a positive employee experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations or Human Resources, combined with a minimum of five (5) years of progressive HR experience.
- Relevant experience in construction, engineering, or the industrial/manufacturing sector.
- Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written (French and English).
- Member of the Order of Certified Human Resources Professionals (an asset).
