Please note that future graduates or students not yet registered with the CSMLS will be compensated at the rate of $33.94 and will work under the supervision of a Registered Medical Laboratory Technologist and must obtain CSMLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Required
- Must be a graduate of an approved school for Laboratory Technologists, or a future graduate or MLT student actively pursuing and obtaining CSMLS certification within 6 months of hire.
- Must have current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario.
- Technical skills and ability to perform essential duties of the position as determined by Quinte Health.
- Capable of coping with a physically demanding workload. (Physical Demands Analysis (PDA) available to review).
Duties
- Performs a variety of laboratory procedures, many of which are complex, involve a number of steps and techniques, and require use of professional judgement.
- Competency tests may be performed in Clinical Chemistry, Hematology (including coagulation), and Immunohematology (Blood Bank).
- Professional application of principles, theories, and techniques of medical technology to be used to produce reliable test results which in turn are used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
- Other duties as assigned.

About Quinte Health
Quinte Health provides a wide range of high quality health care services to 160,000 people living in the 7000 square kilometre region of Prince Edward and Hastings Counties and the southeast portion of Northumberland County.
