About the role

SENIOR SCRUM MASTER (Fully Remote) - CANADA Data Collaboration Modernization Initiative This initiative is focused on transforming the data-sharing framework between two major enterprise partners in Canada. The goal is to replace a legacy SFTP-based data exchange with a modern clean room architecture, significantly enhancing data security, scalability, and operational efficiency. The project enables both organizations to securely integrate and analyze customer rewards data, unlocking richer insights and supporting future cross-brand marketing and loyalty initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience successfully driving agile delivery as a Scrum Master and/or Agile Project Manager, enabling high-performing teams to deliver complex initiatives on time and within scope.
  • Proven record managing technical and data-focused projects with multiple enterprise stakeholders, achieving measurable improvements in data quality, efficiency, and collaboration.
  • Deep understanding of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) with hands-on experience adapting practices to suit project complexity and team maturity.
  • Proficient in Jira and related agile tools, leveraging metrics and reporting to enhance visibility, track progress, and inform data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, fostering alignment between technical and business stakeholders and ensuring clear, outcome-focused collaboration.
  • Experienced in leading distributed and cross-organizational teams, promoting transparency, trust, and accountability across time zones and cultures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives for a multi-enterprise data collaboration initiative.
  • Coordinate delivery across multiple development teams from different organizations, ensuring alignment on timelines, dependencies, and technical milestones.
  • Facilitate communication between product owners, data engineers, and external stakeholders to manage deliverables, resolve blockers, and maintain delivery flow.
  • Monitor project progress and sprint velocity, manage prioritized backlogs, and ensure adherence to agile principles and continuous improvement practices.
  • Support risk and issue management across partner organizations, escalating and mitigating as required to ensure successful delivery.
  • Partner with data architecture and development teams to ensure solutions align with defined governance, compliance, and security standards.
