What you’ll be doing

The Senior Analyst, BlackLine Capability Hub is responsible for the effective management, configuration, and support of the BlackLine platform, which is used for financial close, account reconciliation, and other automation processes within the organization. Analyst will assist with building and maintaining strong global reconciliation processes to support CIBC’s financial accounting and control processes across its group of companies.

How you’ll succeed

  • Balance Sheet - Assist on the Global Balance Sheet control strategy to ensure the completeness, and accuracy of CIBC’s Balance sheet.
  • BlackLine Platform - Oversee the administration, configuration, and maintenance of the BlackLine platform. Provide first-line support to Blackline users, resolving queries and issues promptly. Stay updated on Blackline product enhancements and best practices.
  • Training - Develop and deliver training programs for BlackLine system users and local administrators.
  • Process Improvements - Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements and automation through BlackLine workflows.
  • Stakeholder Management - Communicate effectively with Leaders and other stakeholders regarding system enhancements, risks, and opportunities.
  • Ad Hoc Activities - Support data analysis and reconciliation activities.

Who you are

  • You have a degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
  • You can demonstrate prior experience with Blackline or similar financial close/reconciliation platforms. In addition, you have a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial close processes. Further, you have proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.
  • You're digitally savvy. You seek out innovative solutions and embrace evolving technologies. You can easily adapt to new tools and trends.
  • You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information. You communicate detailed information in a meaningful way.
