About the role

The Canada Retail Intermediary Distribution team, a part of the Global Wealth & Asset Management Segment, is hiring a Manager to support the evolving needs of our Distribution Strategy and Transformation team. This team is responsible for collaborating with Global leadership, North American leadership, US counterparts, and our functional partners to create the conditions for success in our Canadian Retail business.

The Manager will be accountable for working with business and functional partners to build our strategic plans through comprehensive analyses, modelling, likely outcomes and potential value to ensure sound, data-driven decision making is possible. The successful candidate will monitor these pivotal initiatives, communicate our successes and takeaways, and evolve our path forward, along with internal partners, while ensuring senior leaders have the required insight and context to run the business.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain financial models, reports and forecasts for various business scenarios and translate large data sets into impactful insights, recommendations, and reports (20%)
  • Support the planning processes, critical metric monitoring, and help with the development of insights for annual, quarterly and monthly management reporting deliverables (20%)
  • Perform analyses of internal cost structures, revenue levers, and business processes in order to discover opportunities for bottom-line earnings improvement (15%)
  • Partner with team members to build and drive Canada Retail strategic priorities, collaborate with the team on cross-functional work, identify issues, advance as required, and recommend solutions to keep priorities on track (15%)
  • Perform research and analysis of industry trends, market positioning, and competitive intelligence activity related to the retail investments environment in Canada, and connect the insights generated to our strategy (15%)
  • Assist in preparing leadership presentations and communications that keep senior leaders and partners aware of progress against key priorities (15%)

Required Qualifications:

  • More than 2-years of proven experience in the financial services or management consulting industry
  • A degree or equivalent experience in finance, business administration, math, statistics, economics and other quantitative fields is beneficial
  • Current accreditation or working towards a CFA designation or other related programs is an asset, but not required
  • Working experience in advanced Excel spreadsheets
  • Comfort and experience with Power BI

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Confidence with manipulating large datasets to turn raw data into practical insights
  • An understanding of transformation and strategy frameworks and problem-solving tools
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • Project management skills with an ability to develop and improve process efficiency
  • Able to work under pressure with high standards of quality against tight deadlines
  • A good teammate
  • Proficient in English (required)

Salary range is expected to be between

$86,250.00 CAD - $155,250.00 CAD
