Inside Sales Specialist

Location: Brampton, ON (Onsite)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Status: Future Vacancy

Salary Range: $50,000 – $60,000 CAD (based on experience)

The Inside Sales Specialist at Weston Forest is a developmental sales role designed to build our next generation of Sales Account Executives. This position is ideal for someone early in their sales career who wants to learn the business from the ground up before moving into an outside sales role.

You’ll gain hands-on exposure to our products, inventory, customers, systems, and sales process while managing smaller customer accounts and actively developing new business through outbound sales efforts. High performers will be coached and developed into field-based Sales Account Executive roles over time.

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to: Manager, Sales Support & Experience

  • Dotted-line to: Director, Sales

  • Direct Reports: None

What We’re Looking For

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred

  • Early-career B2B or customer-facing sales experience

  • Strong communication and organization skills

  • Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools

  • Coachable, curious, and motivated to build a long-term sales career

  • Prior exposure to building materials or industrial environments is an asset

Key Responsibilities

Learn the Business

  • Develop a strong understanding of Weston Forest’s product portfolio, including lumber, panels, packaging, and value-added services
  • Learn how inventory is sourced, managed, priced, and delivered
  • Understand how sales, operations, and supply chain work together to serve customers

Quoting & Order Execution

  • Prepare accurate, timely customer quotes
  • Enter and manage sales orders with attention to detail
  • Coordinate with operations and logistics to ensure customer expectations are met

Customer Management & Growth

  • Manage a book of smaller and developing customer accounts
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers
  • Identify opportunities to grow share of wallet and expand relationships

Outbound Sales & Business Development

  • Make proactive outbound calls to new and existing customers
  • Prospect and qualify opportunities within defined customer segments
  • Uncover leads and feed opportunities to outside sales partners

Sales Development

  • Learn consultative, value-based selling techniques
  • Build strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • Develop the habits and discipline required for long-term success in sales

Working Environment

  • Full-time, onsite role based in Brampton and/or operational facilities
  • Regular interaction with manufacturing, warehouse, and yard environments
  • Occasional travel to customer sites, facilities, trade shows, and industry events
