- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Law, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in Merchant Acquiring compliance, ISO risk management, or financial services
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., Code of Conduct, FINTRAC, CFPB, FTC, FinCEN) and card scheme rules (Visa, Mastercard)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance tracking tools
What the job involves
- The Compliance Analyst plays a critical role in monitoring regulatory, card schemes, and sponsor bank updates to ensure timely communication and compliance with standards
- This position supports the organization’s compliance framework by identifying, logging, and escalating critical updates and alerts, maintaining compliance documentation, and assisting with training initiatives
- Monitoring & Analysis: Review compliance mailbox and industry portals daily for regulatory and card scheme updates and alerts; analyze bulletins and escalate critical items promptly; complete scanning activity and action outcomes
- Documentation & Reporting: Log updates in shared compliance workbooks and maintain accurate records; prepare compliance reports and dashboards for leadership review
- Communication & Escalation: Flag urgent updates and escalate to the Manager and Director within defined timelines; support stakeholder communication by collaborating with Independent Sales Organizations (ISO) partners and/or drafting summaries
- Training Support: Assist in developing training materials for quarterly and ad-hoc compliance sessions; track attendance and completion rates
- Incident Management: Document missed or delayed updates in the Compliance Incident Log; contribute to corrective action plans and post-incident reviews
