What You'll Be Doing
As the Ottawa Branch Manager, you'll be responsible for both the technical and business success of the operation:
Lead and grow the Ottawa office, overseeing day-to-day operations and strategic development Build and mentor a high-performing team through recruitment, training, and leadership Develop and strengthen relationships with clients, municipalities, contractors, and industry partners Drive business development initiatives and expand the firm's presence in the Ottawa market Prepare proposals, budgets, and project plans while ensuring successful project delivery Oversee geotechnical investigations, materials testing, and construction-related projects Manage project resources, schedules, and profitability Mentor intermediate and junior engineers, fostering professional growth and technical excellence Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture across all operations Collaborate with Sr leadership and other Ontario offices to support company-wide growth initiatives
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Ontario and in good standing 8+ years of experience within geotechnical engineering, materials testing, and/or construction services Strong project management and client-facing experience Demonstrated business development success and relationship-building skills Proven leadership experience managing teams and developing talent Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to build and grow a business unit Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
