About the role
This role involves composing original, cozy-themed music for a pirate-inspired store simulator game. The project is a personal, hobby-driven endeavor focused on creating an inviting and immersive audio experience that complements the whimsical, adventurous spirit of the game. The composer will be responsible for crafting looping background tracks that enhance various stages of gameplay, from the opening sequence to in-game activities and menu navigation. The ideal candidate will bring creativity and a nuanced understanding of both cozy and pirate aesthetics to deliver memorable, engaging music that supports the game's unique atmosphere.
Deliverables
- Compose and produce one theme for the game’s start sequence.
- Create two to three looping tracks for the main gameplay experience.
- Develop one to two background themes for menus and transitional stages.
- Provide one to two distinct tracks for game endings.
- Ensure all music is seamlessly loopable and tailored to the cozy, pirate-inspired setting.
- Deliver high-quality audio files in required formats within the agreed timeline.
Requirements
- Proven experience composing music for games, with a portfolio showcasing cozy, whimsical, or adventure-themed tracks.
- Strong proficiency in digital audio workstations (DAWs) and music production software.
- Ability to create engaging, loopable tracks that enhance player immersion.
- Familiarity with pirate and cozy game aesthetics, with the ability to blend both styles creatively.
- Excellent communication skills and responsiveness to feedback.
- Availability to deliver all required tracks within one month.
- Experience working independently on creative projects.
