About This Opportunity

Reporting to the Director, Intelligent Data and Enterprise Automation, the Data Architect will shape and guide the data architecture behind our Unified Data Platform, the foundation for harmonized, AI-ready, enterprise-wide data. You’ll be a connector and a builder, bridging technology strategy with real-world execution. You’ll collaborate across business, analytics, and engineering teams to design scalable, secure, and future-ready data patterns that unlock analytics, automation, and machine learning.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive, forward-thinking team that values creativity, speed, and impact, and to play a central role in Coke Canada’s AI and automation journey.

Responsibilities

  • Elevate and evolve enterprise data architecture principles, models, and patterns that support Coke Canada’s Unified Data Platform and AI-readiness roadmap.
  • Design and develop logical and physical models, data domains, lineage, and integration frameworks across raw, base, dimensional, and gold layers (Fabric / Snowflake / OneLake ecosystem).
  • Foster interoperability by partnering with Data Engineering and Application teams to design reusable ingestion frameworks, data APIs, and integration patterns that empower enterprise-wide reuse.
  • Collaborate closely with Master Data, Cyber Security, and Data Governance to uphold standards for data quality, security, and privacy.
  • Build architecture components enabling AI / ML (feature stores, model data feeds, metadata services, data catalogs).
  • Shape modernization efforts, guiding migration strategies from legacy systems to our new Unified Data Platform.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to translate use cases into scalable solutions (sales, supply chain, operations analytics, etc.).
  • Contribute to governance forums and mentor technical teams on best practices and design patterns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a closely related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in data architecture, modelling, and data engineering with enterprise-scale systems.
  • Expertise in data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical), ETL / ELT design, and data integration (REST, API, event streams).
  • Deep knowledge of cloud data platforms (Azure Fabric, Snowflake, Databricks preferred) and modern data warehouse / lake / mesh architectures.
  • Experience with data governance, metadata management, lineage, and data quality frameworks.
  • Proven success implementing scalable data solutions enabling analytics and automation.
  • Strong communication skills to translate technical design into business value and to influence cross-functional leaders.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team across Data, Automation, AI, and Governance.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform and low-code integration is an asset.
