**Number of in-office/on-site days:**1 day per week
**Annual Salary Range:**Exempt Band 5, MIN $98,600.00 - MED $116,000.00 - MAX $133,300.00
Placement in the salary range is determined by an assessment of knowledge, skills, experience and ability of the candidate to meet the key requirements of the job. In addition, our pay philosophy is to align with the median of the comparable market and to be considerate of internal equity comparisons.

##What you'll be doing...
Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, the Financial Planning and Modeling Manager leads BC Transit’s long-term financial scenario planning and modelling functions. The position provides subject matter expertise in developing and maintaining complex financial models that assess long-term operating and capital funding requirements and support strategic decision-making.
This role analyzes and communicates the financial impacts of internal and external drivers, including implications for local governments, the Province, and other funding partners. Collaborative, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking, the position plays a key strategic role in advising senior leadership, the Board of Directors, the Ministry of Transportation and Transit (MoTT), local government partners, and other stakeholders.
The role supports decision-making related to the development and implementation of BC Transit’s Strategic Plan, including initiatives such as the Low Carbon Fleet Program, long-term
capital planning, Transit Future plans, and targets established through the CleanBC Plan and other provincial mandates
##What you'll bring to the table...
- Post-secondary degree in Finance, Commerce or a related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is required
- Five (5) years experience in budgeting, forecasting, scenario planning, and treasury management
- Experience working with financial systems in a mid-to-large sized organization; experience using JD Edwards and Hubble software is considered an asset
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining multi-year financial models within a medium to large organization
- Demonstrated experience using Power BI or similar business intelligence tools to create dashboards and reports
- Knowledge of data collection and financial analysis methodologies
- Knowledge of database management principles is considered a strong asset
- Experience applying legislative frameworks and political awareness to complex financial and organizational issues
- Previous experience in a finance role within a complex public sector organization is considered an asset
