THE ROLE STRIVE Recruitment is working with a versatile legal firm who focuses in areas such as business, insurance, and personal litigation. Our client is a Canadian based firm and they are looking for a Trust Accounting Clerk for their location in Vancouver.
Responsibilities
- Prepare cheques and wire transfers, ensuring proper authorization is obtained.
- Handle deposits, coordinate bank wires and cheques, and complete all related trust administration paperwork.
- Record and track trust wire and administration fees.
- Manage daily trust transfers for invoice settlements.
- Reconcile and post incoming trust deposits, including those received via credit card.
- Carry out additional tasks and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an administrative or related role; prior experience within a professional services environment is an asset.
- Familiarity with BC and ON Law Society regulations, trust accounting, iManage, and/or Elite 3E is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines.
- Sound judgment and professionalism in all interactions.
- Skilled in problem-solving and adapting to shifting or competing priorities.
- Able to perform efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
