About the role
Position Overview
As an HVAC Installation Technician (Contractor) , you will perform residential installations of furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and tankless systems. You will represent Polaron Home Comfort on-site, ensuring every job meets our quality, safety, and customer satisfaction standards.
Responsibilities
- Complete HVAC installations in accordance with manufacturer specifications, Ontario Building Code, and TSSA/ESA regulations
- Perform work safely, neatly, and efficiently, ensuring no damage to customer property
- Maintain strong communication with the operations team regarding scheduling, job updates, and QA checks
- Submit all required photos, serial numbers, and completion documentation through the assigned system
- Provide excellent customer service and professionalism at every visit
Our Expectations
- Professional Conduct: Uniformed appearance, respectful language, and clear communication with homeowners
- Quality Workmanship: All installations must pass QA inspection and meet Polaron and manufacturer standards
- Reliability: Arrive within scheduled windows and complete jobs on time
- Compliance: All subcontractors must hold valid TSSA registration, liability insurance, and WSIB clearance
- Documentation: Proper completion of all job photos, permits, and reports before payment release
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of residential HVAC installation experience
- Valid G2 or G1 Gas Technician license and ODP certification
- Own tools, vehicle, and a valid driver’s license
- Liability insurance ($2M minimum) and a valid WSIB clearance certificate
