About The Team The biggest companies in the world use Maestro every day to solve their supply chain challenges. Our team owns an incredibly powerful supply chain planning engine. This engine stores and serves the data and performs calculations with incredible speed, accuracy and reliability.
We’ve just embarked on an ambitious and transformational project to put cloud first - rewrite our planning engine and update it with the newest technologies and approaches. At the same time, we need to support all our existing customers. It’s an ambitious project! We’re unleashing the team’s creativity and innovation to support more users, more customers, more data, more calculations, faster performance.
What you will do
- Design and implement scalable, performant, and maintainable features in our cloud-native backend system.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, and participate in peer reviews to uphold coding standards.
- Develop comprehensive tests across all levels: unit, integration, subsystem, and contract.
- Break down complex problems into actionable work items and contribute to planning and estimation.
- Collaborate in design and code reviews and contribute to deployment workflows and issue triaging.
- Continuously improve system performance and reliability through thoughtful engineering.
What we are looking for

Proven experience co ntributing production-ready features to a software system

2-4 years of relevant software development experience developing a significant amount of code in at least one modern object-oriented programming language (e.g., Go, Java, C#), and openness to learning new languages

Strong design skills—able to abstract problems and decompose them into implementable components

Flexiblewith a williness to work with a still-evolving technology stack

Demonstrated quick learner

Adaptable to a dynamic environment

Interest in developing cloud-based, horizontally scalable enterprise software

Nice to have:

Experience with cloud-native technologies, especially Kubernetes and Docker

Experience designing and implementing database and query engines

Hands-on experience with asynchronous and concurrent programming

Ability to write performant code, ability to diagnose performance bottlenecks
