Senior Practice Manager
Reporting To: Director, Operations

Home Clinic Location: Edmonton Based

Team Members: All DVM & non-DVM team members at the home clinic, and all Practice Managers and DVMs at clinics within the assigned region to be determined.

Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development
Inspire, mentor, and coach Practice Managers and their teams, fostering a supportive, values-driven environment where people thrive and patients receive the highest level of care.

Operational Excellence
Oversee the daily operations of multiple clinics, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and exceptional standards of service delivery.

Collaborative Management
Work hand-in-hand with Practice Managers on scheduling, staffing, financial performance, and inventory management, always seeking innovative ways to improve.

Culture Building
Champion a positive, inclusive culture where every team member feels valued, respected, and motivated to do their best work.

Growth & Performance
Drive sustainable clinic growth, ensuring performance metrics are met while always maintaining VetCare’s commitment to excellence.

Client Relations
Strengthen client relationships, addressing concerns with empathy and professionalism to ensure a trusted, lasting bond with our communities.

Compliance
Ensure full adherence to VetCare policies, protocols, and all regulatory requirements, safeguarding the integrity and quality of care.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 3–5 years in veterinary practice management, ideally with multi-site or progressive leadership responsibilities.
  • HR & Team Building: A natural coach with strong people leadership skills, able to provide constructive feedback, resolve challenges, and nurture professional growth.
  • Operational Knowledge: Solid understanding of clinic operations, financial management, and inventory control.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate, listen actively, and lead with calm, solutions-focused energy.
  • Adaptability: Highly organized, resourceful, and able to thrive in a fast-changing environment.
