The Global Customer Success (GCS) organization, an organization within CE&S, is leading the effort to enable customer success on the Microsoft Cloud by harnessing leading, AI-powered capabilities and human expertise to deliver innovation solutions that accelerate business value, drive operational excellence and nurture long term loyalty.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Solution Architect - Biz Apps specializing in SharePoint infrastructure, administration and design. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical skills and experience in SharePoint infrastructure administration and management, advisory – architecture, consulting and support skills to assist customers drive solutions and resolutions. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical skills and experience in deployment, planning, and migration. This role is customer-facing and requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with technical, non-technical and leadership contacts at customers.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 4+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience working in a customer-facing role
Other Requirements
- This role requires the ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Reliability Status screening: This position requires that the successful candidate obtain and maintain a Reliability Status security screening with the Government of Canada. Microsoft will work with individuals on a case-by-case basis to determine if the requisite screening can be obtained within required timelines.
Additional or preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 6+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
- 4+ years experience working on technical projects.
- Proven expertise in planning, deploying, operating, and optimizing SharePoint environments (on-premises, hybrid, and online), including advanced technical support, migration/upgrade strategies, and deep knowledge of SQL Server, PowerShell, Graph API, and Microsoft 365 Archive and Backup solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and advise development teams, utilizing SharePoint development best practices, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), JavaScript, REST APIs, and custom solution/web part development, with strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
- Solid educational foundation with a BA/BS or higher in Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience), plus broad skills with Azure infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), Microsoft Data Security and Governance, and effective troubleshooting and solution delivery for complex SharePoint scenarios.
Cloud Solution Architecture IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $96,000 - CAD $177,600 per year.
