We are seeking a Director of Professional Development to join our team.
The Director of Professional Development is an enthusiastic and strategic minded leader responsible for further developing and managing our associate programs, leading our student recruitment efforts and overseeing the firm’s student program. Reporting to the Partner in charge of Associates, the Director works directly with the firm’s associates and students to implement our programs, including orientation, professional development, wellness, mentorship and performance evaluations. The Director also helps approve and organize the firm’s lawyer events, including associate events and helps build and manage the programs’ annual budget.
Key Responsibilities
strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to lead from the middle exceptional interpersonal and communication skills excellent written and verbal communication skills strong organizational skills strategic thinker ability to collaborate with various parties, from direct reports to the Management Committee and manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately strong analytical abilities ability to think outside the box proven managerial skills recruitment experience preferred keen interest in lawyer development and recruiting experience with creating and managing a budget
Qualifications And Experience
A JD or LL.B. is preferred, together with experience practicing law.
Full-time preferred but would consider a shorter work week.
