AGF Rebar is looking for Reinforcing Ironworkers (Rodbusters) to join our teams working on a variety of construction projects across the Calgary and Edmonton regions in Alberta, with opportunities to work on major infrastructure projects across Western Canada.

Main Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret structural drawings and blueprints
  • Cut, bend, assemble, and install reinforcing steel
  • Tie and secure rebar according to specifications
  • Install rebar in footings, walls, slabs, columns, and other structures
  • Handle and move materials, including lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Work with cranes and rigging equipment when required
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet deadlines
  • Follow all health and safety procedures
  • Work in a fast paced construction environment
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions

About You

The ideal candidate is reliable, motivated, and willing to work in a hands-on trade environment.

Experience or assets

  • Previous construction or labour experience is an asset but not required
  • Willingness to learn rebar installation, tying, and basic construction methods
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Commitment to safe work practices

Requirements

  • WHMIS certification required
  • CSTS-2020 required
  • Must be registered with Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT)
  • Journeyperson certification is an asset or must enter apprenticeship program
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work including lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
