Description

Our Client is seeking Remote Access Technical Architect to provide support to the Service Manager and Service Owner to assist with day to day operational duties ensuring the services are operating at peak efficiency, and that the Service architecture is configured to minimize costs, and optimize the user and management experience. The Architect must understand the technical capabilities of the Azure Virtual Desktops (AVD) environment and be able to work in a collaborative manner with both the Service Provider and other technical teams.

Must be Canadian Citizen to apply and work within Canada at all times. The resource will work remotely but must be available for on-site meetings when required. On-site meetings may include, but are not limited to, strategic, analytical, and technical discussions, as well as meetings with team members, senior managers, directors, executive directors, and business clients. The frequency of these meetings could be up to 3-4 times per fiscal year. Actual on-site attendance may be negotiable, particularly if the resource lives outside Alberta.

Experience Required/Mandatory Skills

• Experience developing on cloud platforms and utilizing cloud services in development and in solutions. (3+ years)

• Experience in defining technical architecture, building technical environments, supporting software development processes and initiatives, software configuration and database management. (5+ years)

• Experience in gathering requirements from a diverse group of stakeholders across departments. (5+ years)

• Experience in multiple architecture domains e.g. business, application, technology, data/information, security, and privacy. (3+ years)

• Experience with process improvement, documentation and requirement gathering. (5+ years)

• Experience with triaging technical issues/problems and troubleshooting. (3+ years)

• Experience with written and verbal communications including specific experience in drafting strategic business and technical documentation. (5+ years)

Nice To Have Skills

• Experience collecting requirements, analyzing, designing or implementing M365 products and services, either on-premises or in a cloud infrastructure-as-a-service environment. (1+ year)

• Experience collecting requirements, analyzing, designing or implementing Microsoft Power Platforms products and services, either on-premises or in a cloud infrastructure-as-a-service environment. (1+ year)

• Experience in designing, building, testing, deploying, and supporting applications in a large and complex enterprise IT environment. (5+ years)

• Experience in designing architecture to support remote work and/or field-based workers. (5+ years)

• Experience in developing new IT services including the development of service definitions, service measurements, cost models, processes, implementation and operational hand over. (3+ years)

• Experience in IT infrastructure architecture and the relationships among the components that make up an IT service from end-user devices to servers, networks, storage, applications and data. (1+ year)

• Experience in the design, development and implementation of complex IT solutions. (3+ years)

• Experience with IT service management, IT service management applications, IT application development and maintenance projects. (3+ years)

• Experience with User Acceptance Testing processes on large, complex, multi-stakeholder environment. (3+ years)

• Experience working within an agile development environment. (2+ years)

• Perform IT and/or business-related analysis, diagnosis, problem-solving, use case or scenario development, communication, presentations, planning, estimating, and documentation. (3+ years)
