About The Role We are seeking a highly analytical and hands-on Continuous Improvement Specialist to support Industrial Engineering and production optimization initiatives.

This role plays a critical execution function in building stable, scalable production systems through standardized work audits, time studies, root cause analysis, and structured documentation.

This is a production support role that demands strong analytical discipline, a mindset focused on operational excellence, and effective cross-functional collaboration.

What you’ll do

  • Conduct standardized work audits and maintain standard operating procedure documentation and visual management tools
  • Perform time studies to validate cycle times, develop labour standards, and optimize labor allocation
  • Lead root cause analysis to address throughput gaps and defect trends
  • Support line balancing, staffing validation, and labor model development
  • Identify gaps and inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean / Six Sigma tools to reduce waste and streamline operations
  • Improve WIP flow, yard movement, staging logic, and visual management systems
  • Analyze repair mix and support outsource reduction and in-house scalability initiatives
  • Contribute to resource planning and CapEx justification through time and cost-benefit analysis
  • Identify inefficiencies across repair, inspection, detailing, parts ordering, and quality control workflows
  • Strengthen defect identification, rework tracking, and cross-functional feedback loops
  • Develop and support KPI frameworks including First Pass Yield, rework rate, cycle time, throughput, and WIP

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations, or a related field preferred
  • 2–5+ years of experience in manufacturing, automotive, or production operations
  • Strong foundation in Lean principles, standardized work, time studies, root cause analysis, and process mapping
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Experience conducting time studies and building labor models highly desirable
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities with ability to interpret production metrics
  • Extensive knowledge of ergonomics principles and health & safety standards
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and structured thinker
  • Strong observational, documentation, and reporting skills
  • Comfortable working on the production floor
  • Effective communicator across all organizational levels
  • Organized, professional, and diplomatic when auditing processes

Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $80,000 – $85,000 annually
