How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The primary function of this job is to oversee all Canadian field operations and project profitability, including budgeting, operating expenses, safety, customer service, inventory, equipment, building and vehicles, community relations, and resolution of personnel issues. The Operations Manager, Process & Pipeline Services (PPS) will monitor operations including nitrogen and equipment inventory tracking and storage, and equipment testing and maintenance including compliance.Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies and objectives in alignment with the organization's goals and mission.
Resource Allocation: Working with Operations Coordinator to allocate resources such as personnel, equipment, and budget to various projects and tasks to optimize efficiency and productivity.
Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase quality.
Quality Control: Establish and monitor quality control standards to ensure products or services meet or exceed customer expectations.
Team Management: Recruit, train, and manage a team of employees, including setting performance goals, providing feedback, and conducting performance evaluations.
Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for various operational activities, monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks to operations and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring business continuity.
Compliance and Regulation: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including safety and environmental regulations.
Data Analysis: Analyze operational data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to make informed decisions and drive improvements.
Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans to address unexpected events or crises that could disrupt operations.
Communication: Foster effective communication within the operations team and across departments to ensure that everyone is aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
Customer and Employee Safety: Ensure the safety of both customers and employees by implementing safety protocols and best practices.
Safety: Reports and conducts all PPS based safety incidents / near misses.
Re-evaluation of PPS bid P&L ensuring all costs are captured with costs reassessed on an annual basis.
Commercial Review: In conjunction with PPS Sales Team ensures all operational charges are captured as per the PPS quote / customer PO# and contract.

Require Education
Bachelor’s degree, preferred
Required Length & Type of Experience:
5+ years of business operations experience, in a leadership capacity and strong focus on business development.
3+ years of supervisory / management experience with proven ability to effectively lead and manage a team.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Solid organizational, team-building and people skills. The ability to work and navigate within a complex matrixed organization.
Calm and professional demeanor, in control of workload and able to handle multiple tasks and
interruptions.
Industry and related products knowledge is essential.
Strong PC and general knowledge of google suite, Microsoft Office
Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle with insurance coverage as required by the company.
Must have a high level of energy, be as self-starter, sense of urgency and have a strong customer service and relationship orientation
Ability to write routine business reports and business correspondence in English.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and/or customers.
Must be able to work flexible hours to meet customer needs and management expectations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals using the English language.
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and to request clarification when needed.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to assume increasing responsibilities in a rapidly-changing environment.
Ability to follow instructions and procedures properly
Ability to travel occasionally: 10-15%
