About the role

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Ensure tasks are delivered on time and design practices are consistently applied.
  • Interface with design group and customers ensuring customer requirements are met and design intent is understood.
  • Must design to current safety standards and procedures as the job requires while providing feedback to improve processes.
  • Evaluate component sizes, weights, tolerances, and characteristics to meet design requirements and cost objectives.
  • Assist in analysis of development test results and suggestions from engineering meetings and implement the changes required.
  • Recommend improvements and incorporate necessary changes into robotic system, designs.
  • Follow up on designs through the build process to create as build drawings.
  • Have a working knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic systems, mechanical drive systems, servo motors, conveyers, and robotics.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Experience in SolidWorks and AutoCAD Design Software.
  • Machine design and drafting knowledge.
  • A good understanding of GD & T.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to travel to customer locations.

Education And Experience

  • Post-secondary education in technical or an engineering discipline.
  • Coupled with 2+ years of experience in a related field.

Compensation

  • Ranges from $34 - $40 per hour.
