About the role:
We are actively seeking a Superintendent, Mill Reliability & Engineering to drive the reliability and engineering strategy for the processing plant. This is achieved through the development and implementation of asset health management programs, leadership in conducting root cause analyses (RCA), and ensuring that effective follow-up actions are completed. The role is responsible for maximizing equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and integrating best-in-class reliability practices. Additionally, the position supports continuous improvement efforts and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
This role is located at the Côté Gold mine site reporting to the Mill Maintenance Manager.
Responsibilities: -Lead mechanical and electrical reliability functions, developing and implementing strategies to improve asset performance, integrity, and lifecycle management. -Drive condition‑based monitoring and predictive maintenance programs, including vibration analysis, thermography, lubrication, and advanced analytics. -Monitor asset health through dashboards, KPIs, and performance reviews, ensuring timely follow‑up and closure of reliability risks and alerts. -Lead root cause analysis for significant failures and recurring issues, translating findings into sustainable corrective actions and reliability improvements. -Track, analyze, and report maintenance effectiveness metrics (e.g., MTBF, MTTR, availability), identifying trends and opportunities for improvement. -Collaborate with planning, execution, operations, OEMs, and vendors to integrate best practices and resolve asset reliability challenges. -Develop and manage reliability budgets, capital improvement projects, and AFEs, including risk assessments, financial analysis, and performance tracking. -Promote a strong safety, compliance, and continuous improvement culture by integrating lessons learned, audit findings, and industry benchmarks into reliability strategies.
QualificationsKey Skills & Knowledge:
-University degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Reliability Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered. -Registered Engineer (PEO) status or eligibility to register is considered an asset.
Relevant Experience:
-At least ten (10) years of related experience in maintenance or asset management in gold milling, mineral processing or heavy industrial. -At least five (5) years in a supervisory or leadership position. -Extensive experience with crushers, mills, conveyors, pumps, flotation, leaching, and gold recovery circuits. -Experience with condition monitoring technologies, including vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.
Skills & Strengths, We Value:
-Provides strong, visible leadership to the planning function by coaching teams, driving alignment with operations and reliability, and holding the organization accountable to planning standards and results. -Knowledge of ISO 55000 Asset Management principles and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodologies. -Proficiency with CMMS software (such as SAP, Pronto, or equivalent) for maintenance planning and scheduling.
