TABER CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
1.0 FTE PROBATIONARY SCHOOL PRINCIPAL
Taber Christian School is an Early Learning to grade 8 Christian Alternative School within the Horizon School Division and located in the town of Taber, Alberta. The 21 professional staff and 21 support staff provide service to approximately 373 students from families representing more than 20 church communities.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, student-centered educator possessing the following qualifications:

A Master of Education (strongly preferred);
-
Successful teaching and leadership experience and demonstrated ability to meet the Leadership Quality Standard;

A proven record of excellence in areas of fostering effective relationships, student achievement, instructional leadership, leading a learning community, understanding and responding to the larger societal context within a Christian School setting;
-
Ability to work collaboratively with the Taber Society for Christian Education who owns and maintains the facility;
-
Team-oriented leadership style emphasizing collaborative decision-making;
-
Ability to manage school operations and resources, well-developed interpersonal skills and excellent communication, and organizational abilities;
-
Experience in nurturing and sustaining a culture that supports evidence-informed teaching and learning from a Biblical perspective.

Horizon School Division No. 205 operates 43 schools across east central Saskatchewan, with our central office in Humboldt. Horizon spans a geographic area of approximately 30,970 square kilometers, from Bulyea in the south, Wakaw in the north, Foam Lake in the east, and Viscount in the west. The division is divided into 14 Subdivisions for purposes of representation on the Board of Education.
