About the role
GFL is looking for a Project Coordinator to join our growing team. We are seeking an individual with experience in the Sewer & Watermain or construction industry. The Project Coordinator will provide administration, guidance, assistance, and development to operational staff in areas of project coordination, scheduling, and execution. GFL Port Perry operates a fast paced environment with various high profile contracts running simultaneously. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare project start-up documentation (including project plans, training records, material information, traffic control plans, etc.).
- Planning & coordinating construction activities including crews and equipment.
- Coordinate, schedule, and manage subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project scope, timelines, and quality standards.
- Working with the Operations Management Teams to ensure implementation and ongoing compliance with H&S policies and procedures.
- Create and organize project/contract information packages for Operations Team.
- Maintain project management spreadsheets by entering daily units of completion.
- Work with estimating and operations to ensure project scopes are monitored and updated.
- Other duties to assist colleagues as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
- 2-3 years experience in an Operations/Project Coordination or Project assistant role in the construction or Trenchless Services industry.
- Experience with infrastructure related construction contracts.
- Excellent experience with MS office or Google Suite.
- Work hours –8am-5:30pm with additional hours during the busy season as required.
